Deborah Deshotel Johnson, 66, of Lake Charles, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017 in a local hospital. It was Mother’s Day, and she was surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Johnson was a native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles. She attended Marion High School, where she was a majorette. Later in her life, she was a dedicated child care giver at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Family Life Center where she worked for twenty seven years. Mrs. Johnson’s strongest dedication was to her children, grandchildren, and great granddaughter. She was known to everyone as a loving, giving, happy and boisterous person. She will be greatly missed by many.
Mrs. Johnson leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Kimberly Borel Wilson, and Tonette Landreneau; one son, Duke Johnson; one son-in-law, Jeremy Landreneau; seven grandchildren; one great granddaughter; two sisters, Gail Dronet and Lisa Deshotel; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Saturday, May 20, 2017 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. A rosary service will begin at 6:00 PM.
