Deborah Lee Doucet’s beautiful and giving soul was called Home by her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 7, 2020 while at her home in Cypress, TX.
Deborah was born on October 9, 1981 in Sulphur, LA to Coy William Planchard and Doyline Marie Savoy.
She attended Sulphur High School, graduating in the Class of 1999. Many of her friends lovingly called her “Mama” because of her huge giving and selfless nature. It was these character traits that led her to attend Sowela Tech. to earn an Associate Degree as an LPN.
Deborah met her husband David on a blind date arranged by a mutual friend. They married September 3rd, 2005 at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church in Carlyss La.
In 2006, she and David welcomed their first child, a son named Collin James Doucet, then welcoming a second child in 2012, Kara Paige Doucet. She was a dutiful and loving mother to her children, perfectly balancing her work and home life. Leading by example on how important dedication, care and compassion are in life. She enjoyed spending time with her family, vacations being one of her favorites.
She was welcomed into Heaven by; her Paternal grandfather, Roy Lynn Planchard; her Maternal grandparents, James Doyle Savoy and Pauline Savoy; and a Paternal uncle, Norman Clay Planchard.
Those left to live by her example are; her husband of 15 years, David Doucet II., her children, Collin James Doucet and Kara Paige Doucet; her father, Coy (Ruth) Planchard; her mother Doyline Savoy; her siblings, Clay William (Kristy) Planchard, Joy Ashlyn Planchard, Step-sister Amanda Barker; her grandmother, Myrna Planchard; her step-grandmother Priscilla Savoy, her sister-in-love, Della Doucet; two nephews, Devin John Pearce and Caden William Planchard; a niece, Abigail Nicole Planchard; her parents-in-love, C.J. (Joan) Doucet, her aunts Kari Lynn Planchard and Natalie Ann (Edward) Covert, her uncles Hans Michael (Valerie) Planchard, Reed Brian (Anita) Planchard, Elford James Savoy and numerous extended family members.
The family will welcome friends on Saturday 19, 2020 at First Baptist Church of Carlyss 5009 Hwy 27, Sulphur LA 70665 beginning at 9am until time of service. A Rosary will be prayed beginning at 11am. A Mass of Christian Burial, led by Rev. Luke Krzanowski, M.S. will begin at 12pm at St. Theresa Catholic Church 4822 Carlyss Dr. Sulphur, LA 70665. She will be laid to rest at Consolata Cemetery, graveside services will be led by Deacon Chris Gregory.
