Debra Lynne "Debbie" Johnson Cardinal, 55, of Moss Bluff, LA died at 3:25 AM on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 in her residence.
Mrs. Cardinal was born July 10, 1957 in Lake Charles, LA and has lived most of her life in Moss Bluff. She was a 1975 graduate of Sam Houston High School. She worked as a secretary for the Police Jury for over sixteen years and worked as a substitute for seven years in Moss Bluff. Most recently she worked as a waitress at Sha Sha's before her illness. Mrs. Cardinal was a member of First United Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed playing Pokeno, reading, crossword puzzles, beading, and boating, but her greatest love was for her family.
Mrs. Cardinal is survived by son, Ryan Cardinal; mother, Peggy Johnson, both of Moss Bluff; father, Miegel Johnson of LeBleu Settlement; sister, Pam LaFleur of Moss Bluff; and brother, Trent Johnson of Lake Charles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael G. Cardinal; and son, Michael Kane Cardinal.
Her funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 9, 2012 at the First United Pentecostal Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Reverends Jeffery Ralston and John Harrell will officiate. Burial will follow in Creel Memorial Gardens in Bel, LA. Visitation will be at the church from 11:00 AM until the start of the service.
