Debra Jerrene Johnson

Debra Jerrene Lord Johnson, 96, of Lake Charles passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024 in a local health care facility.

Mrs. Johnson was a native of Indiana, she lived most of her life in Texas and in 2008 moved to the Lake Charles area. During her younger years she enjoyed riding motorcycles and later enjoyed quilting, cooking and gardening. Her soft spot was for the love of animals. She will be most remembered for her jovial personality as she was always joking around and the clever names she “nick named” people, never again calling them by their real name! Her greatest joy was her family and the time they shared.

A lady of family and faith, Mrs. Johnson was a member of Church of Christ.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Margaret McManus and husband Sheldon of Moss Bluff; two grandchildren Bryan Keith McManus and Traci Jerrene Grant; five great grandchildren, Sage McManus Blaire McManus, Brysley McManus, Brie Grant and Riah Grant one great- great grandchild, Colt Patrick Boudreaux.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and seven brothers.

In respect of her wishes, arrangements were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
