Debra Sue Walter

Debra Sue Walter 61, of Sulphur, La., passed away on July 27, 2023.   She was born on July 13, 1962, in Sulphur, La., to Wallace and Margie Berry.  
Debra was a fun-loving person that knew how to enjoy life.  She loved fishing, camping, kayaking, painting, growing plants, some quiet time while reading, and cooking.  She worked as a custodian with the Calcasieu Parish School Board in the Sulphur area schools and enjoyed every minute she could spend with children.  Debra will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, William Savage; children, Brittany Bodie and family, Thomas Walter and wife Jessica, Shannon Walter, Logan Walter, William Savage, Jr., and family, Keith Savage and family; grandchildren, Skylar, Jerry Jr., Kendell, Kellan, Gavin, Noah, Bryan; two great-grandchildren; siblings, 5 brothers and 2 sisters; and several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.    
She is preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Liz Berry.
The family will have a gathering to celebrate her life at 2:00PM, Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Magnolia Baptist Church, located at 1307 Woods Loop, Vinton, La.  70668.  

Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson and Robison Funeral Home of Sulphur, La.
