The Homegoing Celebration for Della Gasaway Smith, 69 will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 3808 E. Burton St., Sulphur, La. Visitation and viewing will be held Saturday from 9AM-10:50AM and service will begin at 11 AM. Rev. Arthur Etienne will be officiating. Burial will be at the Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Della was preceded in death by her parents, Bishop K.C. and Frankie Gasaway, husband, Raymond Smith and granddaughter, Delana Stills. She leaves to cherish her memories her sons: Terrance (Lori) Stills of Houston, Texas; El-Melech (Nadirah) Stills Bey [Reginald] of Oakland, California; Christopher (Tina) Stills of Lake Charles, Louisiana; her grandchildren: Taylor Stills, Kendall Stills, Malik Stills, Amir Stills, Kennadi Stills, Lance Stills and Safir Stills Bey; her godchild, Kevin Gasaway; two sisters, Evelyn (Robert) Shelton, Lillie (Edward) Etienne; three brothers, Bishop Larry (Theresa) Gasaway, Jimmy Gasaway, Billy (Betty) Gasaway; two aunts: Janet Dansby and Dolores Spikes; a loving, caring and dedicated former daughter in law, Debra Rachal Stills; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
