Dene Paul Johnson, 45, of Lake Charles entered into eternal life at 1:00 AM on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 in a Lafayette hospital.
Dene was born on April 9, 1975 to Patrick and Linda Johnson in Freeport, TX where he resided until moving to Arkansas in 1986. Upon his graduation from Magnolia High School in 1993 he moved to Lake Charles where he lived his best life.
Dene was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. He began his career as an inside salesman at Gas and Supply Company where he worked for 18 years leading him Coastal Welding Supply in Sulphur where he has been for 2 ½ years. He looked forward to Sunday services at Water’s Edge Gathering where he was an active member and volunteer for every chance he had.
Dene's family meant more to him than anything else in the world and showed it often. He was very involved in their extracurricular activities including fishing, Boy Scouts, camping, grilling, boiling, watching sports, and car shows. He was a well-liked man and made a lasting impression on everyone that was blessed to have known him.
He will be forever loved and remembered by his wife, Tammy Bailey Johnson; his children, David, Christian and Raelynn Johnson; one brother, Dwain Johnson (Jessica); mother-in-law, Vicki Bailey; and two brothers-in-law, Richard and Clifford Bailey all of Lake Charles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Linda and Patrick Johnson and an uncle, Dene Barber.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at University Baptist Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Pastor Tony Bourque will officiate. Visitation will begin at the church from 3:30 PM until the time of the service.
