Denise "Dee" Marie Wilson

Denise Marie Wilson, 63 of Sulphur, La., passed away on February 28, 2023.  Denise was born July 29, 1959, in Danville, Illinois to Donald and Lila Stahl.

Denise attended school in Rossville, Illinois at Rossville Alvin High School ,and graduated with the Class of 77’.  She loved being a baton twirler and supporting her school teams.  She was the friendly face that all her customers loved to see when they shopped at Misses Grocery, she retired after 14 years of great customer service.  When Denise wasn’t taking care of customers, she loved spending time with her family and friends.  She was the most caring loving and sweetest person.  Denise will be dearly missed by all those that knew her.  She enjoyed playing bingo and sitting under Kathy’s Japanese Plum tree.

Denise is survived by her mother, Lila Stahl of Rossville, Illinois; her son, Cory Fletcher and wife Sarah, and their children Kylee and Brandon of  Hoopeston; daughter, Rebecca Moody and husband Josh and their children Chase, Kaden and Treven of Sulphur, La; brothers, Rocky Pennington of Bloomington, Illinois, and Britt Stahl of Bismark, Illinois. 

She is preceded in death by her husband of 16 years Thomas Wilson, her father; Donald Lee Pennington Charles Stahl.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, March 25, 2023. Place and times will be added to web site later.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to help cover funeral expenses.
