Dennis Cade Sepulvado, 42, of Lake Charles, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Cade was a native of Lake Charles and had recently moved back from living in Baton Rouge for many years. He was a 1994 graduate of Westlake High School, where he was active in Football, Basketball, Student Council, Yearbook Staff and Beta Club. Cade furthered his education at McNeese State University, having earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Political Science in 1999. While at McNeese, he was active with AmeriCorps, Theta Chi, and the Student Government Association. He ultimately achieved a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from LSU in Baton Rouge. Cade was an auditor for the Louisiana Legislative Auditor’s Office in Baton Rouge. He was of the Catholic Faith and member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.
Those left to cherish his memories and mourn his loss are his wife of seven years, Jennifer Trahan Sepulvado; mother and stepfather, Linda Hyatt Pickering and husband Lee; and father, Carroll Sepulvado, Sr.; brother, Louis Sepulvado; sister, Laura S. Kravchuk and husband Philip; niece, Lindsay Kravchuk and fiancé Matthew Ferguson; and nephew, Matthew Kravchuk and fiancée Ashlyn Melancon; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mike and Pam Trahan; two furry, four-legged friends, Charlie and Callie, as well as numerous cousins, friends and family of the heart.
Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Sunday, September 16, at Johnson Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM Sunday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be observed at 10:30 AM on Monday September 17, at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church with Father Trey Ange serving as celebrant. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
The family extends a special word of thanks to the staff of Christus St. Patrick, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Villa Maria and Heart of Hospice for the personal, professional and loving support shown toward Cade and the entire family while he valiantly battled cancer.
