Dennis Kimbell Guillory, 59, of Lake Charles, died suddenly at his residence on September 12, 2013. Dennis was born on September 12, 1954 in Dallas, Texas. He attended Bullis Preparatory Academy in Washington, D.C., Pickering High School, and graduated from Moore High School in Oklahoma. He attended the University of Oklahoma, graduated from Sowela Technical and McNeese State University with a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering and minor in Electrical Engineering and formerly worked for Olin Corporation and was currently employed by Levingston Group. He was a member of Masonic Lodge # 443 (Westlake) and was past Master of Lodge # 462 (Moss Bluff), past Vice President of McNeese American Society of Mechanical Engineers, a member of Louisiana Engineering Society, Cajun Mustangers, and Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bobby Valera Norwood, and sister, Debbie Smith. Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his loving wife of twenty-one years, Kristi Doty Guillory, Lake Charles; son, Donovan Guillory and wife Shelly, Baton Rouge; daughters, Kaelyn Guillory and Kristin Guillory, both of Lake Charles; father, Wilton Joseph Guillory; mother and father in law, Foster and Dean Doty, Lake Charles; sisters, Bonnie Self, Betty Jo Odom, Kathy Aaron, Susie McGee; brother, Mike Guillory and wife Delores; uncles, Eldridge Ray Guillory and wife Debbie and Richard J. Guillory and wife Yvonne, both of Lake Charles; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and a loving dog, Keecee. A Funeral Mass will be observed at 11:00 AM Monday September 16, 2013 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church with Father Charles McMillin serving as Celebrant. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM Sunday September 15, 2013 at Johnson Funeral Home with a Masonic Rite being observed at 5:00 PM and a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Consolota Cemetery.
