Mr. Derek Alan Buckles

Mr. Derek Alan Buckles, born on October 22, 1982, in Natchez, MS, peacefully passed away on August 7, 2024, at his residence in Sulphur, LA, at the age of 41.

Mr. Buckles pursued a career in the oil field industry as a Wire Line operator, showcasing his dedication and work ethic. Although his formal education consisted of college credits, his expertise and skills in his profession were commendable. He enjoyed fishing, kayaking and helping people with anything they needed. He had a knack for fixing things and was a handyman in many regards. He worked for renegade wire line and served his country in the Army National Guard for six years and three tours as a medic.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years Paige Buckles; two siblings, Daryl Buckles and wife Amy and Kendall Buckles and wife Grace; Braxton, Brody, Riley, Ethan, and Emma; and stepmother Kellie Fuqua; parents, Lisa Mclemore and Alan Buckles.

He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched with his kindness and generosity.
