Desiree Nash Jarvis

Desiree N. Jarvis, 73, wife of previously deceased Bob Jarvis, died Saturday, March 08, 2014. She was born in Bunkie, LA but was a long-time resident of Lake Charles. She was a graduate of LSU with a master's degree from McNeese, and was a school teacher and librarian at Rosteet Junior High School and Western Heights Elementary. She spent most of her retirement years as a "Pink Lady" at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital and Women and Children's Hospital. Her surviving family: her son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Stephanie Jarvis, daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Stacy Guillory, all of Lake Charles, daughter and son-in-law, Rene and Todd Russo of Athens, GA, as well as five granddaughters. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 6:00 PM in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation Saturday will be from 4:00 PM until the time of service in the funeral home. Reverend Chris Fuselier will officiate. Private Interment services will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Jennings, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
