Devaney Rechelle Benton

Devaney Rechelle Ardoin Miller Benton, 41, of Lake Charles passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2019 in a local hospital.

Devaney was born on March 5, 1978 in Lake Charles to Gina (Andrus) Miller and David Ardoin.  She attended Iowa High School where she was an outstanding cheerleader and was elected to be on the homecoming court.  Devaney was outgoing and energetic.  She loved to make you laugh and have a good time.  She had a passion for babies and the elderly.  She dearly loved her family especially her two boys, Quentin and Daven Benton. 

Those left to cherish her memory are a son, Daven Benton; father of her children, Todd Benton; grandmothers, Rita Andrus and Joyce “Blue eyes” Miller; and half siblings, Denny and Kelley Ardoin.

She was preceded in death by a son, Quentin Miller Benton; mother, Gina Miller; fathers, Jay Miller and David Ardoin; and grandfathers, James “Jim” Miller and Lynn Andrus.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.
