Devyn Foster Trahan

Devyn Foster Trahan, 25, of Lake Charles passed away Sunday, August 08, 2021 in Alexandria, LA surrounded by his family as he succumbed to complications of Covid.

Devyn was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles.  He was a 2014 graduate of Barbe High School, where he played football as a defensive lineman and ran track.  Upon graduation, he obtained a degree in Process Technology and began his career with Sasol in the Cold Alcohol Unit.  Devyn was an admirable, accomplished young man of his generation and proud homeowner.  He also took great pride in his latest investment, “Ruby”, his 2021 Camero ZL1/1LE and his membership with Muscle Cars of Lake Charles.  He enjoyed building his own computer and online gaming with his brother, as well as the same group of friends he joined as a child.  Devyn was adventurous, enjoyed vacationing with family, swimming with stingrays, scuba diving, snorkeling, cooking, and exploring new recipes.  He will be most remembered for his tender, kind and caring heart, thoughtful soul, and love of his family.

He leaves to treasure his memory, his father, Jerald Trahan, and wife Sara of Lake Charles; mother, Tonya Pousson and fiancé Jarod Davidson of Lake Charles; brothers, Eric Joseph Trahan of Lake Charles (currently stationed US Navy in Oceanside, CA) and Sladen Vines of Lake Charles; sister, Kassidy Vines of lake Charles; grandmother, Carolyn Duhon and husband Neal of Iowa; girlfriend, Jordyn Babin of Plaquemine, LA; extended family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Norris and Peggy Foster Trahan and Alton Pousson.

In respect of current Covid compliance and concern for the well being of family and friends, Memorial services will be private.  Reverend Steve James will officiate in the Chapel of Trinity Baptist Church.  A Celebration of Devyn’s life community event will be announced at a later date.
