Dewey Joseph Comeaux

Dewey Joseph Comeaux, 84, of Westlake died on Thursday, September 29, 2016 in his residence.

He was first born on September 13, 1932 and was reborn on March 22, 1979.  He attended LaGrange High School and Spencer Business College.  He retired from BFI as their purchasing agent.  Dewey was, per his words, a Korean Police Action Veteran with the US Army.  He was awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart for his services.  Dewey was a Racing Pigeon Fancier for over sixty years and enjoyed the game of chess.  He loved horses and dogs.

Survivors include three step-children, Tad Berryman (Wanda) of Eros, LA, David Berryman (Pam) of Moss Bluff, LA, and Cynthia Bailey (John) of Moss Bluff; eight step-grandchildren; twenty-two step-great grandchildren; one sister, Vergie Hebert; three nephews and one niece. 

Dewey is preceded in death by his wife, Anna L. Comeaux; his parents, Edward and Nita Leger Comeaux; and a brother, Gus Comeaux.

Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.
