Diane Richard Dugas

Diane Richard Dugas, 61, of Lake Charles passed away at 5:26 PM on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 in a New Orleans hospital.

Diane was born on February 23, 1959 in Lake Charles where she was a lifelong resident.  She enjoyed working with babies and children at local daycares throughout her life.  Diane was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church and spent her spare time making arts and crafts.

Those left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Lacey Dommert of Sulphur; her mother, Hilda Richard of Lake Charles; siblings, Kathryn Bresofski (Mark) of Sulphur, Jeanette Vitello (Kenneth) of Lake Charles, Barbara Richard of Sulphur, Michael Richard (Christa) of Lake Charles, David Richard (Tamra) of Lake Charles, and Judy Smith of Westlake; grandchildren, Taylyn Duplechin, Kenzlie Dommert, and Hadley Dommert; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Franklin Leonard Richard, Jr.

Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.  A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for outstanding expenses.
