Dick Stewart Richardson, 53, passed away on December 24, 2011 in his residence. Dick was a lifelong resident of Sulphur. After graduating from Sulphur High he attended McNeese State University. Dick owned several local businesses and later went to work for WR Grace until retiring in 2006. He was a member of Sulphur United Pentecostal Church. Dick loved the outdoors, the beach, hunting, fishing, camping and his family. There will be a memorial service on January 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Sulphur United Pentecostal Church on Moss Lake in Sulphur with Rev. David Gunter officiating. Dick is survived by his wife, Laura Richardson of Sulphur, two daughters, Ashley Wood and husband, Mark and Amber Westbrook and husband, Brady all of Sulphur, four step-daughters, Rashonda Duncan and husband, Jeremy of Cypress, TX, Nickie Abshire and husband, Dale of Sulphur, Carri Mann and husband, Royce of Sulphur, and Terri Sullivan of Lake Charles, 9 grandchildren, Alexis Bowser, Aidan and Adyson Wood, Layla Duncan, Ashton and Caoimhe Abshire, Chris and Josh Mann and Joey Duhon, and one uncle, Lance Stewart and wife, Veleta of TX. He was preceded in death by his father, Dick Richardson and mother Mary Stewart Kandik. The family would like to thank Odyssey Hospice, especially Vickie and Julie.
