Dinah Mae "Memaw" Labove White

Dinah Mae LaBove White “MeMaw,” 79, passed away in her home on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. Dinah was born October 29, 1944, to John and Hazel Miller LaBove.

Dinah loved being a MeMaw. She especially enjoyed spoiling and loving the grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with anyone needing some tender, love, and care! She had a love for flowers and all greenery. She was a devout Christian and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, John White, Darryl White, Rachelle Monceaux (Ricky), Peter White (Kayla), and Jason White; one sister, Shirley Alleman; one brother, Michael LaBove (Claudell); 9 grandchildren; and 11, great grandchildren, and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Walter “W.D.” White and her parents, John and Hazel Miller LaBove.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 8, 2024, in St. Peter Catholic Church in Hackberry, LA. Burial will follow in Hackberry Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held in the church fellowship hall on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday morning at 9:00 AM, and continue until the start of the service.
