Dolores Faye Dugas

Dolores Faye Dugas, 70, of Iowa died at 2:00AM Monday, July 25, 2011 at Avoyelles Manor Nursing Home in Dupont, LA.

Ms. Dugas was born in Iowa, Louisiana on May 6, 1941 to the parents of Otis and Inez Landry. Dolores has lived in Dupont, LA for the past few years. She was a 1959 graduate of Iowa High School. Ms. Dugas worked for many years as a nurse's aide. She was of the Baptist faith. She loved her family dearly.

She is survived by two daughters; Ruby Guillory of Houston, TX and Regina Shawn Dugas Dyson of Welsh, LA, one son Chris Dugas of Carlyss, LA, two sisters; Ophelia Owens of St. Louis, MO, and Linda Gail Nelson of LaPort, TX, one brother Otis Landry, Jr. of Lake Charles, 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Dolores is preceded in death by her parents Inez and Otis Landry Sr. and one son Matthew Scott Dugas.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 2:00 PM from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ronnie Estes will officiate. Burial will be in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Tuesday and will continue on Wednesday at 8:00 AM until the time of services.
