Dolores Marie Denton

Dolores Marie Denton, 78, of Westlake, LA passed away on February 20, 2017 in her residence.

Dolores was born on December 30, 1938 to Howard and Lillian Jardell. She was born and raised in Vinton, LA and was a graduate of Vinton High School class of 1957. Dolores lived in Sulphur – Choupique area until moving to Westlake in 1980. She was an administrative assistant from 1972 until 2010 serving at Christus St. Patrick’s Hospital and Memorial Hospital. Dolores was a faithful and dedicated member of Westlake United Methodist Church and presided over the food pantry.

Those left to cherish her memory are her three children, Don Denton and wife Lisa of Sulphur, LA, Mark Denton and wife Kim of Wyoming, and Karen Denton of Sulphur; brother, Jerry Jardell of Haughlin, LA; and grandchildren, Staci, Don Chance, Chrystal Michelle, Tamara, Brandon, Paycin , Tatum, Dillion, Landon, and Nina.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers; and one daughter Mitzi Denton.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Westlake United Methodist Church. Visitation will begin from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the church. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery of Edgerly, LA. Rev. Joy Comeaux will officiate services.
