Dolores Martin

Dolores Martin, 83, passed away at her residence on October 9, 2018.

Mrs. Martin was born on August 27, 1935 in Ville Platte, LA. She was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles and graduated from Lake Charles High School. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, flowers, gardening, and fishing.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Frederick Martin; children, Barbara Martin of San Antonio, TX and Michael Martin of Lake Charles, LA; and one grandchild, Tanner Martin of Lake Charles, LA.

She was preceded in death by her father; mother, Burnie Dossman; sister, Claire DeRouen; and brother, Andrew Dossman.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 10 AM at Johnson Funeral Home. Deacon Glenn Viau will officiate. Burial will follow the service in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Friday from 4 PM until 8 PM with a rosary to be recited at 6 PM. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 AM until the start of the service.
