Dolores Sumbillo Baizas

Dolores Sumbillo Baizas, 94, of Lake Charles entered into Heaven, Friday, February 28, 2020 from the comfort of her home.

Mrs. Baizas was born in the Philippines to Juan Manalang Sumbillo and Emiliana Sumbillo. She moved to the United States in the early 80’s and made California her home. She has lived the past seven years in Lake Charles with her daughter and son-in-law. During her younger years, Mrs. Baizas owned and operated a grocery store in the Philippines. Following her move to the states she began working for a computer company where she later trained new employees. Her last years in Lake Charles, she loved going to the Casinos. Mrs. Baizas always enjoyed taking care of family, cooking and working hard. She will be greatly missed.

She leaves to cherish her memory, seven children, Teresita S. Baizas-Lopez, Clarita S. Baizas Flowers and husband Charles; Bonifacio S. Baizas, Julio S. Baizas, Carlito S. Baizas and wife Chona, Albert S. Baizas and wife Annalynn and Marlene S. Baizas; two sisters, Angeline Barnhart and Aurora Tanchingco; eleven grandchildren, many great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by one son, Almario S. Baizas and one daughter, Jovita S. Baizas.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 10:00 until 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 04, 2020 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, 4321 Lake Street, Lake Charles, LA 70605.
