Donald A Vincent

Donald Antoine Vincent was born April 17, 1953, to the late Ernest and Mary Ashy Vincent of Lake Charles, Louisiana. He passed away on July 5, 2021, at the age of 68.

He was a 1971 graduate of Lake Charles High. He was awarded a track scholarship to McNeese State University and graduated in 1976. He was married to Janelle Theriot Vincent for 42 years. He was employed as an Electrical Engineer at Consolidated Aluminum (5 years) and Lyondellbasell (39 years). He was a member of Krewe de la Famille. He attended St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church. Donnie will be remembered for his happy demeanor, his love and care for family and friends and his perfectionism in all things in life. His hobbies included weightlifting, cooking, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Janelle, and three sons: Brian (Stephanie) of Port Mouton, Nova Scotia, Canada, Matthew (Amanda) and Jacob and granddaughter Anna Kate Vincent all of Lake Charles.  He is also survived by his twin brother Ronald Vincent of Lake Charles, Gregory Vincent of Athens, Alabama, sisters:  Paula (James) Taylor, Karen (Mark) Abel, both from Iowa, Louisiana, and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Mary Vincent.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at 2 p.m. Monsignor Jace Eskind will officiate. Visitation will be held at University Baptist Church Monday, July 12, 2021, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue at University Baptist Church Tuesday from noon until 1:30 p.m.

The family would like to acknowledge the Staff of Harbor Hospice for their excellent care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, the American Cancer Society or to the charity of choice.
