Donald Don Lavere Rugemer

Donald Don Lavere Rugemer, 74, of Lake Charles passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013 in a local healthcare facility.

Mr. Rugemer was born, raised and educated in the Manchester, MD area. He served the United States Army. He worked his younger years in sales for Black and Decker and Caterpillar. He then, along with his wife, moved to Nashville, TN where he worked twenty-two years in Industrial sales. Mr. Rugemer has lived the past two and half years in Lake Charles, his wife's hometown. He enjoyed gardening.

He leaves to honor his memory, his loving wife, Nelda Christine Stutes Rugemer of Lake Charles; four sons, Gary Lee Rugemer and wife Susan, Wayne Scott Rugemer and wife Carmel, Steven Earl Rugemer and wife Janette and Mark Edward Rugemer; one grandson; four granddaughters; three sisters, Virginia Furry and husband Joe of VA, Janet Singer and husband d Jim of FL and Mary Ellen Stiffler of CA and two nieces, Veronica Williams of Moss Bluff and Christeen Caswell of Gillis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Minnie Rugemer and two brothers, Charles Rugemer and Richard Rugemer.

In respect of Mr. Rugemer's wishes, memorial services will be at a later date.
