Donald Leon Kelley, 80, of Lake Charles passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013 in the comfort of his home. Mr. Kelley was born, raised and educated in Arkansas. He settled in Lake Charles over sixty years ago. He worked in sales and service of Office Machines for sixty years, the past forty years has been as the owner and operator of Kelley Office Machines. Mr. Kelley was an admirable Salesman of his generation, service man and friend, still serving lifelong clients until the end. His passion was truly, his work. During his younger years, he also enjoyed yard work, a well manicured yard and his green house. Mr. Kelley was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who took great pride in his family. He leaves to honor his memory, his loving wife of sixty years, Shirley Bagget Kelley; one daughter, Kathleen K. Romero; one son, Daniel N. Kelley and wife Stacey; five grandchildren, Nicholas Kelley, Lauren Kelley Flurry and husband Michael, Tyler Kelley, Jasper Romero and Megan Romero; two great-grandchildren, Farrah and Fallon Flurry, all of Lake Charles and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents; two sisters and a brother. Memorial services will be at 4:00 PM Wednesday, September 18, 2013 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Chris Fuselier will officiate. Visitation Tuesday will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
