Donald Ray Broussard

Donald “ Bubbie” Broussard, 84, of Carlyss, LA passed away on March 20, 2021 in his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Bubbie was born on February 14, 1937 in Hackberry, LA to Oscar “Teca” and Amy Courmier Broussard. He was known for his love for his family, hunting, fishing, and softball. He also enjoyed gardening, watching westerns, and being around family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 39 years, Twiley Broussard; three children, Amy Bufford and husband Bobby, Melanie Fuselier and husband Denny, and Randy Broussard and wife Sabrina; two stepchildren, Sheri East and Terrie Frey; 8 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 7 step great grandchildren; two siblings, Faye Vincent and husband Burnell and Lennie Broussard and wife Susan.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar “Teca” and Amy Courmier Broussard.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021at St. Peter Catholic Church. Visitation will be at St. Peter Catholic Church Hall from 10:00 AM until time of service at 2:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 12:00 PM. Burial will be at Hackberry Community Cemetery under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Reverend Arvind Minz, H.G.N. will officiate services.
