Donald W. Keller, Sr.

Donald W. Keller, Sr. 82, of Lake Charles, LA died at 9:10 AM Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at a local hospital.
Donald was born on October 8, 1933, in Jennings, LA to Whitney and Mary Keller. He was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles, LA and retired from Olin Inc. after 22 years of service. Donald proudly served our country in the U.S. Air force for many years. He was a member of the Carpenters Local #953 for forty two years and a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Donald was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his two loving sons, Donald W. Keller Jr. of Lafayette, LA and Ronald “Ronnie” Keller of Lake Charles, LA; half sister, Sarah Duplichan and husband Jimmy of Sulphur, LA; five grandchildren, Cassidy Keller, Caylee Keller, Cody Keller, Emily Keller, and Nathan Huffman; and three great grandchildren, Bradlee Guilbeau and Shad and Brinlee Huffman.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Betty Matte Keller.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 12:00 PM Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Visitation will be Friday, November 27, 2015 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a 6:00 PM Rosary at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Saturday from 8:00 AM until 11:30 AM at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Monsignor Jace Eskind will officiate services.
