Donald White

Donald White, 82, passed away on June 19, 2017 at a local care facility.

Donald spent his professional life traveling the world as a construction manager in the beverage industry. His work brought him to live in South America for several years. When he was away from work he liked to fish and was an avid Florida Gators fan. Even in his final days he was cheering on the Gator baseball team. He made four special trips with his grandchildren bringing them to Washington DC. For many years Donald and his wife, Pat, lived in a condo at Cape Canaveral, FL where it had become a family tradition for everyone to visit to celebrate the Fourth of July. Don deeply loved Pat, and they were exceptionally devoted to each other for sixty four years.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Pat White; two sons, Donald Michael White and wife Linda, and Richard Huston White and wife Gloria; daughter, Diana Moriarty; eight grandchildren, Michael, Jonathan, Matthew, Andrew, Katherine, Emily, Rory, and Kevin; two step-grandchildren, Mark and Aaron; eleven great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry White; sister Judy Willis; and step-sister, Jackie McIntyre.

He is preceded in death by his parents Hoyt and Hazel White; and step-mother, Bessie Speight White.

Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. The family is planning a memorial service at a later date.
