Donna Bonin

Donna Fay West Bonin, 73, of Lake Charles, LA died at 12:26 AM on Friday, December 21, 2012 in a local hospital.

Ms. Bonin was born February 24, 1939 in Jennings, LA, where she was a 1957 graduate of Jennings High School. She was also a graduate of Spencer Business College in Lafayette, LA and has lived in Lake Charles for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church where she was an active member of the choir and a part of the Scripture Group. She worked as a paralegal for fifty years. She will always be remembered as a caring and kind hearted woman, who was always willing to help others and would do anything for her family.

Ms. Bonin is survived by her children, Kevin Bonin, Sharon Kay LaFosse, Chris Kip Bonin, and Benjamin Kelly House Bonin, all of Lake Charles; brothers, Don West, Jr. and wife Bobbye of Jennings, LA and Tim West and wife Judy of Manitou Springs, CO; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of good friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Margaret Boudreaux West, Sr.; and the father of her children, Arthur E. Bonin.

Her memorial service will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at St. Margaret Catholic Church. Father Scott Conner will officiate. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Thursday from 8:30 AM until 9:30 AM.
