Donna Marcia Higgins

Donna Marcia Higgins, 63 passed away on August 30, 2015 in a local hospital. She loved costume jewelry, antique furniture hunting and was known as a "Junker". She was also known for rescuing abandoned pets. Donna was very social and outgoing and loved being around her family and friends. She adored and loved her grandchildren whom will miss her greatly. Donna is survived by her husband of 24 years, Mark Higgins of Sulphur; her two children, Jeremy Thomas and wife Jennifer of Los Angeles, CA and Brandi Manuel and husband Lenny of Lake Charles; her mother, Etta Belle Rousch of Lake Charles; her brothers, Ira Lee Sawyer of Carlyss and Don Marsh of Sulphur; and her 3 grandchildren, Brittni and Bryce Manuel of Lake Charles and Zoe Thomas of Los Angeles, CA. She was preceded in death by her father, Davis Leroy Marsh; and her brother, Davis DeVon Marsh. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 10 A.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel in Sulphur with Rev. Andy Buckley officiating. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 4-9 P.M. at the funeral home with visitation continuing on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 from 8 A.M. until time of the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to local animal shelters of your choice.
