Donovan "Don" Hipp, Jr.

Donovan F. Hipp, Jr. Died Sunday April 13, 2014 at a local hospital surrounded by his loving family. Don was a native of New Orleans and had lived in Lake Charles for many years. He was a graduate of McNeese State University, a veteran of the United States Army, and retired from a career as a pharmaceutical representative. Don enjoyed being with family and friends and was an avid golfer. He attended the ACTS retreat with St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Preceding Don in death are his parents, Donovan F. Hipp, Sr. and Rosemary Morgan Hipp. He leaves to honor and cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 47 years, Mary Anne Belanger Hipp, Lake Charles; daughter, Amy Hipp Nolan and husband Marty; and grandchildren, Abigail and Zoe Nolan; all of Belle Chase, LA. Visitation will be Tuesday April 15, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at Johnson Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Wednesday with Father Brian King officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
