Dora Webb, 82, of Lake Charles died on Saturday, January 3, 2015 in a local care facility. Mrs. Webb was born on September 2, 1932 in Roanoke, LA and lived all of her life in the Lake Charles and Jennings area. She enjoyed helping others and volunteering her time. Mrs. Webb was very active in her community and will be remembered for always giving. Survivors include three sisters, Rena Begnaud of Lake Charles, Eva Guillory of Westlake, and Jean Miller of Lake Charles; a brother and his wife Floyd Lavergne and Lurline of Lake Charles; a grandson and his wife, Greg Tabor and Jennifer of Dayton, TX; a granddaughter and her husband, Deborah Rasberry and Steven of Cleveland, TX; and five great grandchildren, Trevor and Hailey Tabor and Megan, Kimberly, and Mary Rasberry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Armond and Ella Lavergne; and two sisters, Mary Lois Tabor and Zora Ewing. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon George Carr will officiate. Burial will follow in Doucet Cemetery in Hathaway, LA. Visitation will begin on Monday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until the start of the services.
