Dori Anne Taylor, 41, of Kinder, LA, died at 4:16 AM on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 in a local hospital.

 

Dori was born January 7, 1975 in Lake Charles, LA. She was a 1993 graduate of South Cameron High School and previously worked at South Cameron Memorial Hospital as an ER Technician and a nurse’s aide. She has been employed at Coushatta Casino for the past nine years. She will always be remembered for her positive attitude and her gentle nature. She never met a stranger and enjoyed working with older people at the hospital, always sharing hugs and a smile. She will be missed by all who loved her and will live on forever in their hearts.

 

Dori is survived by her mother, Patricia Saltzman; father, Dennis Taylor; daughter, Destiny Gaspard; step-father, Seabob Doxey; aunts, Elaine Thompson and Deanna Tumor; uncle, Doyle Taylor; step-brother, Bubba Doxey and wife Danielle; step-sister, Kim LeBlanc and Stephanie; niece, Carlee Doxey; Godsons, Bryan and Timmy McClelland; Godmother, Vickie Cox; Godfather, Norbert LeBoeuf; good friends, Tammy McClelland and Melissa Theriot; and her beloved pets, Chico and Baby.

 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wilford T. Joe, Edith Miller, Doris Dyson and Dennis Taylor, Sr.

 

Her funeral service will be held at 11:30am, Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. Deacon Roy Nash will officiate. Visitation will begin at 2:00pm, Friday, August 19th until 9:00pm. Visitation will resume Saturday morning at 9:00am until the start of the service. The Rosary will be recited at 6:00pm on Friday.
