Doris "Dot" Dupuis Landry

Doris “Dot” Dupuis Landry, 89, of Lake Charles, LA, died on Sunday, January 7, 2018 in her residence.

Mrs. Landry was born July 17, 1928 in Lake Charles, LA, where she was a life-long resident. She was a 1947 graduate of Immaculate Conception Catholic School and a longtime member of the Immaculate Conception Cathedral. Dot enjoyed fishing, dancing and watching the New Orleans Saints and Houston Astros, but her true passion was for her family and her grandchildren.

Mrs. Landry is survived by her sons, Corbertt “Butch” Landry, Jr. and fiancée Amy Blanchard and Darrell Landry and wife Melanie; grandchildren, Darren Landry and wife Carmen, Damen Landry, David Landry and wife Kelly, Torrey Guidry and husband Cody, John Landry and wife Talyn, and Alexandra Moorehead and husband Michael; fourteen great grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Corbertt Landry, Sr.; parents, Ralph and Oma Dupuis; and siblings, Ralph “Sonny” Dupuis, Betty Doiron and husband A.J., Hubert “Itsy” Dupuis, Johnny “Boo” Dupuis, and Ruby Farque.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Father Rommel Tolentino will officiate. Burial will follow in Orange Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM and continue on Thursday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.
