Doris Jean Daigle

Doris Jean Daigle, 79 of DeRidder passed away on April 16, 2015 in her residence. Doris was a member of the American Legion Womens Auxiliary Post 179 and was of the Catholic faith. She had many hobbies that she enjoyed which included, planting flowers, crocheting, deer hunting and painting murals on plywood. Doris will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Doris is survived by her three daughters, Susan Furgeson and husband Gary of KS, Theresa "TC" Callahan and husband Kevin of DeQuincy and Barbara "Bobbie" Going and husband "Hoppy" of DeRidder; a son, David "Butch" Daigle and wife Gwen of San Antonio, TX ; 14 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Benoit and husband Fred of Opelousas; and numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved pet, Missy Gail. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Velma Stegall; 2 sons, Wayne and Gregory "Geggie" Daigle; and 2 brothers, Fred and Samuel Stegall. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 2 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon James Christopher Gregory officiating. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 19, 2015 from 4-9 P.M. with a rosary at 6 P.M. recited by Wade Daigle at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Monday at 9 A.M. until time of the service.
