Doris Jean Knoblock

Doris Jean Knoblock, 83, of Lake Charles, LA died Saturday, March 5, 2016 in a local hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Doris was born on September 27, 1932 in WestPoint, TX to John and Eva Spittler. She will always be remembered for reading the bible, playing dominos, and watching various ministries on television. Doris loved spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by five children, Brenda Holcomb and husband Tom of Lake Charles, LA, Terry Anders and husband Doug of Edna, TX, Sherry Reed and husband Ricky of Pinellas Park, FL, Pattie Knoblock of Lake Charles, LA, and Cynthia Marcantel of Lake Charles, LA; six grand children; five great grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothy and Virginia “Jenny”.

She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 61 years, L.J. Knoblock.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 7, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until time of service Monday, March 7, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Cemetery in Lake Charles, LA. Pastor Jerry Snider will officiate services.
