Doris Marie Strenk

Doris M. Strenk, 86,of Sulphur, passed away, Saturday, April 23, 2011 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Aubrey Guilbeau officiating. Burial will follow in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly, LA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 from 3-9 p.m. at Robison Funeral Home Chapel with a Scripture Service at 6p.m. with a rosary to follow. Visitation will resume on Thursday at 8a.m. in Robison Funeral Home until time of service. Doris was a native of New Orleans, LA., and a longtime resident of Sulphur, LA. She worked as a secretary and later became a full time mother and wife. She was a member of the early Twelfth Night Revelers, Messiah Chorus, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, The Catholic Daughters, and The Republican Women Association. Doris is survived by her two daughters, Holly Burwinkel and husband, Bob of Cincinnati, OH., and Suzie Blanchard and husband, Gary of Sulphur, LA., two sons, Edward James Strenk, Jr. of Sulphur, LA. and Patrick Allen Strenk and wife, Claudia of Fort Mill, SC., 7 grandchildren, Ben and Megan Burwinkel, Brittany, Brandon, Gary Lee, and Mary Blanchard and Michael Strenk. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward James Strenk, Sr.
