Dorise Watson

Dorise Watson, 82, passed from this life surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 26, 2022. She liked to read, cook, and travel. Spending time with her family was the real love of Dorise’s life.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Lee Anna Watson Duplechain (CJ Jr.); stepdaughter, Michele Watson Field (Winslow Jr.); grandchildren, Ryan Duplechain (Heather), Cory Duplechain, Joshua Brooks (Chelsea), Nathaniel Brooks (Kayla), great grandchildren, Salvador Duplechain, Magnolia Duplechain, Jacob Brooks, Cameron Brooks, Elliot Brooks, Emma Lynn Brooks, CeCilia Brooks, Owen Brooks; sister, Lucille Cormier, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dorise is preceded in death by her husband Wesley Watson Jr.; grandson, Grayson Scott Brooks; parents Willis and Azalie Morrow; sisters, Lena O’Quain, Pearl Lanning; brothers Willie O’Quain, Tangay Dupre.

A Christian Mass will be held on Monday, May 30, 2022, at 10 A.M. at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Carlyss with Father Luke Krzanowski officiating. Burial to follow at Mimosa Pines South in Carlyss. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, May 29, 2022, from 5-8 PM with a rosary at 6 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Monday from 8 AM until time of service.
