Dorothy Bearb

Dorothy Bearb, 75, of Lake Charles, LA died on Friday, January 9, 2015 in her residence. Dorothy Bearb was born on July 31, 1939 to Horace and Winnie Fontenot in Lewisburg, LA. She loved cooking, gardening, and most of all spending quality time with and praying for her grandchildren. She also enjoyed bird watching. She was a longtime member of St. Margaret Catholic Church and attended the Senior Citizen activities at Lake Charles Bible Church. She is survived by one son, Carl Bearb and wife Brenda of Lake Charles, LA; one daughter, Karen Nelson and husband Brad of Lake Charles, LA; four grandchildren, Matthew Bearb and wife Rachel of Lake Charles, LA, Kay Nelson Laningham and husband Bryce of Lake Charles, LA, Andrew Bearb of Lake Charles, LA, Grant Nelson of Lake Charles, LA; one sister, Norma Thibodeaux of Opelousas, LA; one brother, Herman Fontenot and wife Rita of Port Barre, LA; one niece, Christine Zerangue and husband Dale of Opelousas, LA; one great niece, Kaitlyn Zerangue; and one great nephew, Zachary Zerangue. She is preceded in death by her parents, and loving husband Lewid Bearb. Services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be at 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, January 12, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 13, 2015. Burial will be at Consolata Cemetery. Phil Carpenter Pastor of Lake Charles Bible Church will officiate services.
