Dorothy C. George

Dorothy Chaisson George, 82, of Lake Charles passed away, Friday, December 14, 2012 in a Houston hospital.

She was born in Rayne, LA and has been a life long resident of Lake Charles. Mrs. George worked as Manager at Abe's Grocery for twenty-eight years.

Survivors include three daughters, Phyllis McDonald Cormier and husband Warren, Jr., Jamille Manino, and Barbara George Leger and husband Harry; four sons, Kent, Brian, and Layne George, and Wayne George and wife Shawn; nineteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren; one sister, Mildred Leverette; one brother, Lester Hebert. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Kibby George.

Her funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. Reverend Mitzi George will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be in the funeral home, Monday, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and continue, Tuesday, from 9:00 AM until 12:30 PM.
