Dorothy Emily Martin

Dorothy Emily Martin passed from this life January 29, 2013 (age 95) at Lake Charles Care Center (LCCC). A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at 2:00 pm at World Redemption Center Church, 222 Highway 171, Moss Bluff, LA.

Dorothy was born August 20, 1917 in London, England. She moved to Bermuda with her family as a young teen and remained there until 1952 when she moved to the United States. She moved from Boise, ID to the LCCC July 2010 to be near family.

Dorothy leaves four children: Patricia (Keith) Leatham (Pocatello, Idaho); Stanley (Lil) Martin (Goshen, NY); Carol (Robert) Fleming (Toledo Bend, LA); and Mike (Donnette) Martin (Colorado Springs, CO). Dorothy is preceded in death by her eldest, William Mitchell. Dorothy was also blessed with 15 grandchildren (locally: Rebecca Fleming Boniol, Big Lake and Christine Fleming Bailey, Moss Bluff) and 22 great-grandchildren (three who live locally).
