Dorothy Hebert Daigle

Dorothy "Dot" Hebert Daigle (81 years young) went to be with her two greatest loves, The Lord Jesus Christ and her husband Charles on June 20, 2014. She was born on May 8, 1933 in Erath, LA and was a lifelong resident of Cameron Parish. Dot lived a long vibrant life that touched many people throughout the community and much of southwest Louisiana. She was a simple woman with a huge heart and gained her reputation from her deep love for the Lord and for the love she shared with her kids, grandkids, and extended family. While small in stature, Dot was truly larger than life and was always known for her no nonsense way of telling the truth. She will be deeply missed for generations to come. Dot was preceded in death by her husband of 13 years Charles R. Daigle Sr. He died July 18, 1967. Survivors include Sister, Irene Chestnut and husband Jim; Children, Charles Daigle Jr. and wife Jackie, Connie Daigle and husband Raymond "Lucky", Timothy Daigle Sr. and wife Sunny, Gilbert Daigle Sr. and wife Elaine, Lisa Cordell and husband James. She was a loving Grandmother of 24 and Great Grandmother to 39. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 23, 2014 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Monsignor Harry Greig will officiate. Burial will follow in Grand Lake Community Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Sunday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
