Dorothy Louise Sonnier

Dorothy Louise Reeves Sonnier, 81, died Friday, November 25, 2011 at a Lake Charles care center surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Sonnier was born February 3, 1930 in Topsy where she lived all of her life. She was a homemaker and raised all her children there.

She is survived by her four sons, C.A. Sonnier of Lake Charles, Winbourne Sonnier of LeBleu Settlement, Louis Sonnier of Topsy, and Gary Sonnier of Lake Charles; two daughters, Patty Sonnier Trahan of Moss Bluff and Pamela Sonnier Cormier of Topsy; sister, Doris Hundley of Westlake; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 1PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Lenford Whitaker, Rev. Verlin Sonnier, and Rev. Elsye Mae Sonnier will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oaks cemetery in Kinder. Visitation will begin Monday from 2PM-9PM and will continue Tuesday from 8AM until time of service.

She will be carried to her final resting place by her six grandsons, Charles Sonnier of Eunice, Shawn Duplechain of Sweet Lake, Shannon Sonnier of Kansas, Rocky Sonnier of Bowling Green,Fl, Michael Sonnier of Lake Charles, and Shane Cormier of Topsy.
