Dorothy Lee Sirman, 88, of Lake Charles died on February, 8, 2013 at the Guardian Home on Country Club Road in Lake Charles.
Mrs. Sirman was born on January 27, 1925 to Frank Dupin and Artemise Busnick, both of Lake Charles, Louisiana. She was very involved with the Garden Club, Investment Club, and worked as a realtor for 27 years before retiring. She was also a long time member of the University United Methodist Church. As a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she will be dearly missed.
Mrs. Sirman was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Vincent Sirman, her son, Steven Craig Sirman, and her sister, Betty Fay Lynch. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Carla Foresman and husband David of Nellysford, VA, her brother, Frank Dupin of Fayetteville NC, her grandchildren, Kelley Lollar and husband Mitchell Lollar with great grandchildren, Ty and Avery Lollar of Benton, LA, Ashley Sirman of Ragley, LA, Jarred Foresman of Blacksburg, VA, Dillon Foresman of Charlottesville, VA, and daughter-in-law Charlene Sirman of Ragley, LA.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the care providers at The Guardian and Amedisys Hospice.
Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on February 14, 2013 at 4:00 PM for the family and from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM for the public. Funeral services will be held at University United Methodist Church on Friday February 15, 2013 at 10:30 AM. The Rev. Charlie Langford will officiate. There will be a private burial at Highland Memory Gardens under the direction of Charlie Langford.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to University United Methodist Church, 3501 Patrick St., Lake Charles, LA 70605.
