Douglas Karl Fischer

Douglas Karl Fischer, 77 of Lake Charles, LA passed away Sunday August 23, 2015. Mr. Fischer was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of the Bowling Association of SWLA, a 32nd degree Mason and Shriner, an avid racecar driver, fisherman and loved to shoot skeet. Mr. Fischer was also a past member of the Cruisin' Cajuns RV Group. Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memories are his loving wife of 38 years, Shirley Soileau Fischer; son and daughter-in-law, Norris Charles and Shannon Bergeron of Houston, TX; son, Darrell Eugene Fischer of Lancaster, CA; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Karen Michelle and Joe Knezevich of Slidell, LA, Bridgette Ann and Michael Gregg of Pearl River, LA; 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. Mr. Fischer is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Mildred Luce Fischer; brother, Louis Fischer and grandson, Dustin Garrett Holdsworth. Memorial services for Mr. Fischer will be conducted by Bro. David Dewitt on Tuesday August 25, 2015 at 11AM from the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home. Family will receive friends on Monday August 24, 2015 from 3-7 PM and Tuesday from 8 AM till time of service.
