Douglas Keith Fontenot

Douglas Keith Fontenot, 62, of Lake Charles passed away Wednesday October 8, 2014 at a local hospital following an extended illness. He was a native of Lake Charles and a graduate of Lake Charles High School. He attended LSU and honorably and faithfully served our country in the United States Army during Vietnam. Doug was a pipefitter in the Petroleum Plants. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Houston and Lillian Fontenot and a sister, Cindy Boudreaux. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Connor Fontenot; stepson, John Battaglini; step daughters, Amanda Battaglini and Olivia Battaglini; sister, Barbara Dartez; and grandchildren, Alex, Mia and Bella. He also is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Craig and Jamie Boudreaux. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday October 10, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Saturday at the funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 PM Saturday at St. Margaret Catholic Church.
