Duclise D.J. Joseph Labauve, Jr.

Duclise Joseph D. J. LaBauve, Jr., 94, of Lake Charles, LA died at 6:17 PM on Sunday, February 17, 2013 in a local hospital

Mr. LaBauve was born July 18, 1918 in Lake Charles, where he was a life-long resident. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked for Frensly Cleaners and Lakeside Cleaners and retired from Guth Dairy as a route supervisor after a number of years. He attended Trinity Baptist Church and enjoyed watching and playing baseball during his younger years. He also enjoyed playing golf.

Mr. LaBauve is survived by his sons, Gordon Mickey LaBauve and wife Pat of Vancouver, WA and Donald James Jimmy LaBauve and wife Angela of Tuscaloosa, AL; daughters, Marilyn Allen and husband Kennie of Pleasant Hill, LA and Carolyn Belue and husband Gene of South Carolina; sisters, Bridget Landry, Betty Mae Cook and Alice Brocato, all of Lake Charles; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-six years, Laura Vincent LaBauve; and sons, Terry and Billy LaBauve.

His funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Gary Evers will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and continue on Thursday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
