Dusty Nicole Avery, 35, of Moss Bluff passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018 in a local hospital.
Dusty was born on July 4, 1982 in Sulphur. She was raised in Iowa where she was a graduate of Iowa High School. Following graduation, she joined the US National Guard.
She then furthered her education at Delta graduating with honors. Dusty worked as a pharmacy technician for Walgreens until changing her career path to paralegal work. She attended First Pentecostal Church of Gillis.
She was a caregiver to her family and will be sorely missed.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of eleven years, Josh Avery of Moss Bluff; her father, Dean Stanley of Johnson Bayou; siblings, Brandi-Kay Hudson and her daughter, Emily of Iowa and Tenikka, Scotty, Colton, and Jayden Stanley all of Johnson Bayou; grandparents, Ethaline and Charles Potts of Hemphill, TX; sister in law, Sasha Bourque (Jeremy) of Ragley; and brother-in-law, Cody Avery (Sylvia) of Westlake. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, Godchildren, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by parents, Renee and John Hudson; brother, Nathan Stanley; and grandmother, Katherine Hudson.
A service led by family and friends will be held at 5:00 PM on Sunday, June 3, 2018 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will begin on Sunday at 4:00 PM and will continue following the service until 7:00 PM. Cremation will take place following the service and visitation.
