Dwayne Blair Laxson, 67 of Sulphur, LA passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 in a local hospital. Mr. Laxson PePaw , as he was known, was born on September 28, 1946 in Lampasas, TX, but resided in Sulphur for the past 33 years. Dwayne was a heavy equipment operator, he loved to fish, hunt and especially spend time with his lovely family and friends. Dwayne also served his country in the U.S. Army. Dwayne is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Duhon Laxson of Sulphur; daughter, Bridget Thomas and husband, Randy of Sulphur; grandsons, Jacque Dupre, Zachary Thomas, Shad Thomas and Blake Thomas; great granddaughter, Abrien Dupre; 4 sisters-in-law; 2 brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arbrey and Dorothy Laxson; brother, Roland Bobe Laxson; and daughter, Dorothy Dottie Nell Laxson. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 4-9 p.m. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with a rosary at 6 p.m. and will resume on Sunday at 12 p.m. until time of the service.
