Earl Edwin White

October 16, 1935 — August 21, 2021

Earl Edwin White was the oldest of twelve children born to Charles and Lola White. He was born in Palisades, MN on October 16, 1935.

He attended Washington High School, graduating Class of 1956. On July 8, 1956 he joined the United States Navy, serving honorably until his discharge in June 1960.

He was knowledgeable in many trades, he served as a Postman, an airport Radar and Communication Technician, maintenance and HVAC technician, and an electrician.

He was a man of simplicity, spending time with his family brought him the most joy; whether it was teaching them to fish or serving as the prince of the tea party, he never passed up a chance to dote or spoil his grandchildren, nieces, or nephews. His outgoing and loving nature ensured he never met a stranger; he was loved by many for his giving and compassionate heart. James Patterson was his favorite author, in his down time you’d find him enjoying his favorite past time, reading. Once he started a book, it was hard to put it down, often he would finish the novels in a day or two.

He was welcomed into Heaven on August 21, 2021 by his parents; three siblings, Myrle, Leonard, and Gladys; his family by-love, Nelda Prime, Helen Reeves, M.D. Reeves, and Ernest and Lucy Reeves.

Those left to cherish his memory, his wife of thirty-two years, Dianna; his children, Mark (Pam) White, Greg (Cherie) White, and Derek Veillon; his grandchildren, James (Megan), Matthew, Kayla, Olivia, and Kasslyn; great grandchildren, Archer and Michael; his siblings, Charlotte, Arlis, Howard, Ethel, LeRoy, Roland, Lorena, and David; his family by-love, Mary Nell Filipski, Dee Abate, Thomas (Eleanor) Reeves, and Joyce Reeves and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will welcome friends on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff beginning at 10am until 2pm. His funeral services will begin at 2pm, led by Pastor Danny Moore. He will be laid to rest at Creel Cemetery in Reeves, LA.

His pallbearers will be Matthew White, Troy Abate, Marc Reeves, Cody Stinson, Jesse Stinson, and Doug Comeaux; Teddy Filipski and Chansey Abate to serve as honorary pallbearers.
